Conferences
The EBF organises four scientific meeting formats which are open to the broader bioanalytical community: Focus Workshops (FW), the Open Symposium (OS), Roadshows and the Young Scientist Symposium (YSS). These meetings reflect the work developed within the EBF and provide a platform for scientific discussion, exchange and alignment across the field.
Meeting formats
Focus Workshops (FW)
Focused 1.5-day workshops organised around topics of high or emerging interest. They are designed to enable in-depth scientific discussion and to connect the EBF with adjacent disciplines and stakeholders. Focus Workshops are non-sponsored meetings and are organised twice per year.
Open Symposium (OS)
The annual Open Symposium, held since 2008, brings together the global bioanalytical community for broad scientific exchange on bioanalysis, regulations and technology. It is organised in Barcelona and includes a structured sponsoring framework.
Roadshows
Regional, small-scale scientific meetings designed to bring EBF discussions closer to the community. Roadshows are interactive and focused on a single topic, facilitating dialogue and engagement, particularly for stakeholders who may not attend larger meetings.
Young Scientist Symposium (YSS)
A dedicated format supporting the development of early-career scientists. The YSS fosters peer interaction and lowers the threshold for cross-company, pre-competitive scientific exchange.
